OpenTypeless collects minimal data. Your API keys are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers. We do not require account registration to use the desktop application. For paid subscription users, we collect basic account information (email address) and payment information is processed securely through our Merchant of Record, Creem.

When you use OpenTypeless, your audio is sent directly from your device to your chosen Speech-to-Text (STT) provider. The transcribed text is then sent to your chosen LLM provider for polishing. OpenTypeless does not intercept, store, or process your audio or text data on our servers. Your data flows directly between your device and the third-party providers you configure. We have no access to your voice recordings or transcriptions.

Our website uses essential cookies for functionality (such as language preference). We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand website traffic. The desktop application does not use cookies or tracking.

OpenTypeless integrates with third-party STT and LLM providers that you configure. Each provider has its own privacy policy.
