Does OpenTypeless work with terminal apps?
It can insert dictated text into a focused terminal field. Review the exact command, quoting, flags, and destination before executing it; dictation does not make a command safe or run it automatically.

Dictated snippets and commands are inserted as text and require your review. Use the custom dictionary for terminology; OpenTypeless is not a general desktop-control command system or an automatic command executor.

OpenTypeless is a desktop dictation app for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Use it to draft prose in a focused field. If your task needs continuous voice navigation, cursor control, or a command grammar for editing code, evaluate a tool built for that task.
The desktop code is MIT-licensed. BYOK provider usage and hosted service plans have separate terms and costs. Local STT needs a running Custom Whisper-compatible endpoint; local polishing uses a separately configured Ollama LLM endpoint. Verify both routes when you need processing to stay on your machine.
