Global Hotkey
Configure the keyboard shortcut that activates voice input from any application.
Default Hotkeys
Defaults in v1.1.61: macOS Fn for dictation and Fn+Space for Ask Anything; Windows and Linux Ctrl+/ for dictation and Ctrl+. for Ask Anything. Check the installed version, saved settings, recording mode, and shortcut conflicts.
Customizing
- Open OpenTypeless settings and go to the Hotkey tab.
- Click the hotkey field and press your desired key combination.
- Click Save. The new hotkey takes effect immediately.
Troubleshooting
If the hotkey doesn't work, check if another application is using the same shortcut. On macOS, you may need to grant Accessibility permissions in System Settings > Privacy & Security.
